The City of SeaTac is the gateway to the Pacific Northwest. It is a vibrant, economically strong, environmentally sensitive, and people-oriented community. The myriad of local large and small businesses in this area serve both its 32,000 residents as well as the constant stream of visitors. Because of its major ports, businesses, and over 6,000 hotel rooms, the City of SeaTac draws a peak daily population of well over 150,000. It is also home to one of the busiest airports in the country, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Owned and operated by the Port of Seattle, Sea-Tac Airport served close to 51.8 million passengers and transported over 450,000 metric tons of air cargo in 2019. The City of SeaTac is the ideal place for any business that depends on a multi-faceted transportation system to move people and products. The city boasts transit-oriented development opportunities near three light rail stations, several highways, and a wide range of housing, park, and recreational opportunities for creation and expansion of business. In addition to the diverse demographics of the city, SeaTac also offers a skilled labor force that is highly mobile because of the many transportation hubs. Location The City of SeaTac is conveniently located halfway between the cities of Seattle and Tacoma in western Washington state. It is bordered by the cities of Burien, Des Moines, Kent, Tukwila and unincorporated King County. Sea-Tac International Airport is located wholly within the City of SeaTac.

Transportation SeaTac’s proximity to major highways, coupled with light rail access and the presence of Sea-Tac International Airport, make the City a major transportation hub for the Puget Sound region. SeaTac is readily accessible to vehicular traffic by I-5 and SR-509, SR-518, SR-99 and nearby I-405. The City is served by three light rail stations, connecting SeaTac to downtown Seattle and University of Washington. Connections to Bellevue and Federal Way are under construction.
