Reduce Mail Theft with a Locking Mailbox

The City of SeaTac has launched a city-wide neighborhood mailbox replacement program to increase the number of locking mailboxes in our community, which will help combat the mail theft problem. Join the 400 other SeaTac residents that already have safer mailboxes today!

Who is Eligible?

Owners of single-family residences including duplexes and triplexes, and business property owners that have individual mailboxes are eligible to participate in the program. Tenants may also participate with written permission from their landlord. At this time the City will not be providing new location installation.

What is the cost?

The boxes are available to residents at the City's cost of $120 each, which is significantly lower than the retail cost of $159. For those property owners that have incomes below 50% of the median (based on the latest HUD Income Guidelines for King County), the cost of the mailbox will be $60 to the applicant. 

No cash accepted at this time. Check or credit card payments only please. 

NOTE: Mailbox and stand become the sole property of the homeowner. The City will not replace damaged or stolen boxes.
