Community Court Mission

The SeaTac Community Court (SCC) seeks to break the cycle of crime, reduce recidivism, and reduce the overall impact on the justice system and the community through access to supportive services. By equipping people to participate as productive members of the community, rather than engage in criminal activity, all members of the community benefit.

What is Community Court

Using a problem-solving model, SCC seeks to address the underlying issues that lead to involvement with the criminal justice system. We recognize that problems with substance use, mental health issues and homelessness are at the heart of most low-level offences. By providing appropriate services, we find solutions that help lead people out of the cycle of recidivism while holding them accountable for their actions.

Community Resource Center

SCC has numerous community partners who can fill a variety of needs such as housing, State ID/license, health insurance, job training and placement, mental health and substance use disorder treatment, and food assistance.
