Transportation Master Plan

The City is currently working on a 2024 Transportation Master Plan Update.  Please click here for a webpage describing the update underway. 

The Transportation Master Plan (TMP) was adopted by City Council on July 28, 2015 (Resolution #15-013) as the background report to the Transportation Element (TE) of the Comprehensive Plan.  Together, the TE and TMP provide a long-range vision for the City's transportation system based on year 2035 land use projections and growth at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.  The TMP contains an inventory of existing transportation system and conditions, describes the travel demand model assumptions and results, defines projects to improve system needs, forecasts financial components and evaluates  funding and implementation strategies.

The TMP will be used to prepare proposed Annual Transportation Improvement Plans (TIPs) and Capital Improvement Program (CIP) updates to ensure transportation projects and programs support the City's vision and Comprehensive Plan.
