Maintaining the City's investment in infrastructure

The Maintenance Division protects the City's investment in its infrastructure by repairing and restoring the road and stormwater networks. Maintenance personnel are skilled in asphalt and concrete repair, painting, stormwater facilities maintenance and channelization,  roadside landscape and vegetation control.  The maintenance shop is located at 2000 South 136th Street.

Public Works Beautification Program is focusing on litter pickup and graffiti removal in 2023 and 2024.
  • Staff picked up over 1700 bags of litter in 2023.
  • Staff spent over 300 hours of clearing illegal dumping, filling over 200 bags.
  • Staff spent 250 hours removing graffiti last year
  • The City received a Dept. of Ecology grant of $60,000, allowing us to pick up more litter on the freeway on and off ramps.
