City of SeaTac and Non-Discrimination

City Facilities Closed for staff furlough

City Facilities 

Hours of Operation:  8:30 AM - 12:30 PM

Closed: 12:30 PM

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the City anticipates an $8.3 million revenue shortfall in 2020. To help control wage costs for the remainder of the year, the Union (AFSCME) and the City negotiated and agreed that all full-time, regular employees will take (40) hours furlough (unpaid) between August 14 and December 31, 2020.   

 To reduce the impact to the community and customer service, the dates are being published in advance and posted on the City’s website calendar. Additionally, the City anticipates savings in utility costs by completely closing facilities during the set times.

 Please find the 2020 Furlough schedule below:

 Hours of Operation: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM

 Fridays, August 14 and 28

Fridays, September 11 and 25

Fridays, October 9 and 30

Friday, November 13

Wednesday, November 25 (day before Thanksgiving)

Thursday, December 24 (all day closure)
