To help local businesses and non-profits impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing orders, the City of SeaTac is providing assistance and locating useful resources. We continue to monitor the situation, and are developing additional resources and tools as they are available. 

Please document the impacts of COVID-19 on your business or nonprofit to assist with relief efforts by local, state and federal agencies.

This digital guide is meant to be a tool for assisting businesses as they reopen in Phase 2 of the Governor's Safe Start Washington plan.   • Washington Listens In response to COVID-19, Washington has launched a support program and phone line to help people manage elevated levels of stress due to the pandemic. People who call the Washington Listens support line will speak with a support specialist and get connected to community resources in their area. This program is anonymous.

  • Find Financial Assistance through KCLS Find Financial Assistance is an information and referral service for anyone trying to locate financial support programs. Users can fill out a simple form describing their small business, nonprofit, personal, or career/education funding need, and library staff will respond with a custom list of relevant resources. Anyone is welcome to use the service; a KCLS library card or residence in our service area is not required. We are able to respond in a wide variety of languages, and by phone for those unable to access email. To access the site in both English and Spanish language, visit KCLS Find Financial Assistance

Stay In. Eat Out: SeaTac Eateries Are Open

SeaTac is home to more than fifty restaurants, food truck, convenience stores and ethnic markets. In an effort to support our SeaTac businesses, the Economic Development staff is providing a list of open Food/Beverage and Grocery stores on our Eat Local Page.   • State Department of Revenue is offering filing extensions and penalty waivers for state-level B&O taxes: apply.
  • The federal Internal Revenue Service has announced an extension of the April 15 tax filing and payment deadline to July 15, regardless of the amount owed: additional information.

Utilities

  • Recology Business Customers - If your garbage or recycling needs have changed due to the Governor's Stay-at-Home Mandate, please contact Recology 206.767.1166 or seatac@recology.com to discuss service options.
  • Puget Sound Energy is not disconnecting utility service for non-payment at this time.
  • Comcast Xfinity is not disconnecting internet service or assessing late fees for eligible customers: Comcast.
  • CenturyLink is not disconnecting internet service or assessing late fees for eligible customers : CenturyLink.
  • T-Mobile is not disconnecting eligible small business customers T-Mobile.

If you are a bartender who is unable to work and need financial assistance to cover basic needs, here is a grant opportunity offered by the U.S. Bartenders Guild .

The Plate Fund will provide $500 emergency relief grants to individuals in King County who have lost their jobs in the restaurant industry due to the COVID-19 crisis. Individuals can apply through a mobile-enabled website: www.theplatefund.com.

The Restaurant Workers' Community Foundation has created a COVID-19 Emergency Relief Fund for individual workers and small businesses. If you need help, please email covidhelp@restaurantworkerscf.org.
